On January 29, 2010, we reported that M F Hussain's latest muse was Anushka Sharma. Apparently the actress is still the apple of the painter's eye, as he wishes to do a portrait of her.
Though not up to Madhuri standards, (Hussain had watched Hum Aapke Hain Koun 73 times) Hussain has however watched Sharma's Band Baaja Baraat 25 times. And since the very first time, he had wanted to get in touch with the actress and discuss the possibilities of putting her on canvas.
Around that time, Anushka's spokesperson had told us, "Once we contact the artist, we will think of the next course of action. We have so far not received any invitation from him directly. This is something that cannot be kept under wraps."
However, on Tuesday evening, M F Hussain called up Yash Chopra regarding his desire to paint Anushka, who in turn informed the actress. She promptly got in touch with the artist.
Hussain and Anushka spoke for quite some time on the phone. "Hussain told Anushka that he has zeroed down on some pictures of her from the Internet. He would soon like to interpret those pictures into painting with his sensibilities," revealed a source.
Anushka's spokesperson confirmed, "It is a great pleasure for Anushka to share a place on Hussain's list with someone as big as Madhuri Dixit."
