Imran's building an eco-friendly home

24 Pali Hill is one of the most iconic addresses in Mumbai. It is the home of one of yesteryear's most entertaining filmmakers — Nasir Hussain and currently the residence of his daughter Nuzhat and grandson Imran Khan.

It is perhaps the latest of the Pali Hill bungalows to go in for a renovation. Imran who is staying with his in-laws, the Malliks, at an apartment in the same locality admits that his bungalow is getting a facelift.

A source informs that the actor's home is being remodelled to get an additional wing that will accommodate the newly-weds Imran and Avantika, "The new structure will not be a highrise because the Break Ke Baad actor doesn't wish to hurt the topography of the area. However it will have a manicured lawn, a huge swimming pool, a theatre, a game court and also a windmill."

The actor himself had admitted earlier that he is keen on solar energy and even the tiles chosen are eco-friendly. The architect who designed Andhra superstar Nagarjuna's house in Hyderabad is the same one who is re-doing Imran's place.

Says Imran, "The need of the hour is to be sensitive to the environment. We want a green earth and each of us must take solid steps in that direction. While I don't wish to actually give away every minute detail of what my new bungalow will have because it will spoil the fun, all I can is that it will be environment-friendly."
