Elle Macpherson takes her 'manny' on holiday to help look after her sons

She's the mother of two young sons with a hugely successful modelling career and a lingerie business to look after. So it comes as no surprise that Elle Macpherson decided to take her manny, her male nanny, on holiday with the family when they hit Bronte Beach in Sydney, Australia. The 46-year-old model smiled widely as she reclined on the beach while the manny, also known as Mike Tanner, played in the water with Elle's eight-year-old son Cy.

Tanner was apparently hired by Macpherson as a driver for the family five years ago.But, after seeing how good he is with Cy and Elle's eldest son Flynn, 13, Elle clearly decided to promote Tanner to child carer. And while the pair could undoubtedly be romantically linked through photographs of them relaxing together on the beach, a source close to the family insists they are just friends.

The source told the Sunday Mirror: 'I think Mike and Elle would find romance rumours hilarious. Mike has been on Elle's household staff for years. 'He takes the boys surfing and to the park and carries the bags when they travel.'

But while Tanner might be a dab hand at looking after her sons, there's one duty Elle won't give up - putting the boys to bed. She said recently: 'I hardly go out at all if it collides with my children's bedtime. I choose to be with them because there is nothing in the world that touches me more than that hour I get with them before sleep time.

They talk about their day, what's on their mind and often I learn more about the boys in that hour than I do at any other time.' Meanwhile, Elle also proved she can still be called 'The Body' - a nickname she earned during the height of her modelling fame - as she showed off her svelte figure in a stomach-baring vest top and low-slung jeans. Wearing a cowboy hat and the obligatory sunglasses, Elle looked like a woman half her age as she strolled along the beach.
