I can't tell you the name of the University of Maryland's new
basketball coach since Gary Williams's recent retirement, but I do like
to keep informed about what's happening at my alma mater in College
Park, Maryland. Of course, when the alumni magazine arrived in my
mailbox today, I flipped through it. And there, among the articles on
the end of "Garyland" and the long-awaited arrival of air
