This question put me to shame. We are trying to become US citizens and we do not even know Havaii is a US state.
I am not sure what purpose do we serve by being rude to somebody on the forum. People might not be as savvy about immigration as some of the regulars here and it never hurts to ask.
From my owen experience, I went to Puerto Rico and everybody told me you dont need a passport to go there. While boarding the plane back from PR, a couple of CBP guys acame and started asking everybodies citzenship and then asked me to show them the visa. So it never hurts to be safe, even when u are travelling to a remote state or territory.

I guess we have to keep all this in mind when we ask for a bill that would solve the retrogression problem. Solving one problem and getting into others and ending up in the same place does not make sense.
Maybe we can suggest some relief measures to be added on to SKIL or CIR bill itself anticipating what USCIS, FBI and whatever other relavent organization is going to face, specially if something like the CIR passes, there is no way the current setup will be able to absorbe 12 to 20 million more cases even if they are added to the back of the list, giving priority to who is already in the pipeline.

I have filed for my renewal EAD on May 29th at NSC. My current EAD expires on Sept 24th. I havent got the renewal EAD yet, where as my wife got it both applications were sent in the same envelope. I am working on EAD and am losing sleep since if my EAD doesnt come in time I will be out of my payroll.
Has some one gone to the local USCIS office to get the interim EAD recently? I was told that option no longer exists.

yes that is true, Local uscis no longer provides interim EAD. they just place a request for interim EAD from their office only after your application has crossed 90 days from the receipt date (not notice date).

What you think , doesn't matter.
Cant fly through FRANCE/UK for sure, without a valid US visa stamped.
People had issues even with Lufthansa, but as per law on the German Consulate , a person should be able to transit through Germany. But i would avoid it.
Emirates/Direct AI/Continental should be OK from East Coast.

You wil need to Update your Biographic information(there is a form # for it) for your I485 application. It is not mandatory. But is adviced to do so. Why are you hesitating to update your I485 to drop your spouse?
US consulate in India will not have the information regarding I485.

It's unfortunate, but that's the reality. History says that "British took advantage of divide and rule concept in India during their rule." If the empherors/kings/people were united, that wouldn't have possible for the British.
I know their are few people really good, but the numbers aren't good enough. Hope and wish the coming generation wil, change the history. :-)

This sounds totally outrageous ! I mean if the company is genuine and no one is on bench etc. what was the ground for deportation ? And what is this about intimidating the immigrant ? What can we do to bring these cases to light and ask for explanations ?

CBP. hmmm.. can i have his phone #
CBP calls Mr ABC .. we r deporting XYZ hs papaers r not in order ..
no call back # nothing ..
meanwhile XYZ is asked to sign papers ..
I know we can refuse but those people r so intimidating and I guess if you dont sign ICE agents come in and tell you that it could take months to send you back
so poor xyz has no option but to sign and get a stamp on his passport that he is being deported
Councilor access is a myth and so is trying to call and talk to the CBP officers
and this is not a small body shop .. it has atleast 500 people working on various projects across US and those people were not on bench

Since your I-140 is approved, your chance of I-485 RFE is very low. I think you should be ok since the key is that on the day your I-485 is approved, you must have a job offer per your labor.

I guess I should agree with Jerrome because I am going to India 2 weeks from now and My friend who recently had been to India mentioned the same. I have asked the same question to my immigration lawyer, I will post it when I get a reply.
In mean time I have another question, My flight is from Chicago to Delhi, but I have to take a loacl flight from Miami to Chicago, all my international baggage check in's are at the Miami. My question here is should I surrender the I-94 at Miami since I am doing all my International baggage check in's or should it be in Chicago.
Please let me know if anybody had this situation.

We received this letter and my wife is currently in India. She is comng back only after 2 months. Secondly this letter says it has been Xfrd to MO. We live in virginia. I am not sure how it went there.
