Book on Prince William & Kate published

LONDON: It's only been 10 days since Prince William and Kate Middleton announced their engagement, and already there's a book out about the future king and queen of England.

"William and Kate: A Royal Love Story" was published on Friday – the first of many anticipated books about the couple to hit the presses before their April 29 wedding at Westminster Abbey.

The book was written by James Clench, who covers the royal family for the British tabloid The Sun. The book features photos by Arthur Edwards, the newspaper's veteran royal photographer.

Clench's book will be published in the U.S. on Dec. 17. Several more books about England's favorite couple will come out before the royal wedding.

The list of planned books includes on by celebrity journalist Andrew Morton, who wrote the explosive, 1992 biography "Diana: Her True Story" about Prince William's mother. It shattered the image of Princess Diana's and Prince Charles' happy marriage with details of bulimia, depression and infidelity.

But "William and Kate: A Royal Love Story" is anticipated to be much less salacious, describing the prince as "the boy who would one day be king" Kate as "the middle-class girl who harbored a crush on him since her school days."

But the book does claim that Prince William's nickname for Middleton is "Babykins" while Kate calls her future husband "Big Willie.
