While a slew of celebs are getting dressed up and hitting the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival, it seems Elisabetta Canalis is intent on doing the exact opposite.

George Clooney’s stunning girlfriend was busy stripping off yesterday afternoon and showing some serious skin as she relaxed aboard the luxury motor yacht owned by fashion designer Roberto Cavalli.

The Italian model and TV host was pictured lounging around in the French Rivierain a tiny black string bikini, which left little to the imagination and barely covered her curves.

Elisabetta later joined the large group of people aboard on the top deck for a spectacular lunch as the boat was moored in the Cannes marina.

The star is clearly no stranger to taking off her clothes.

The model last month took part in a nude photo-shoot for animal rights organisation PETA.

She posed completely naked for the charity’s newest anti-fur campaign about which she said: ’I think it’s the best reason I got naked in my life.’

Her boyfriend of two years, actor George Clooney, was nowhere to be seen.

He is yet to make an appearance at the famed film festival where his best friend Brad Pitt premièred his new film Tree Of Life on Monday night.

The engaged couple hired a luxury motor boat and then larked about in a series of poses that would have looked somewhat staged if they hadn’t simply been taking a few days holiday.

They then took a towel and lay on top of one another on a ladder poking out of the back of the boat in a bizarre-looking scene, but then moved to sit on a more comfortable padded cushion big enough for two as their hired skipper steered them through the waves.

Later, Mark, 23, cracked open a bottle of bubbly and then laughingly sprayed his fiancée with the contents, which she didn’t seem too impressed with.

He then appeared to try and make it up to her by holding a glass of fizz up to her mouth to sip before planting a smacking big kiss on her lips and pointing out to a sight of interest back on the shore.

However, night club promoter Mark then seemed to disappear off into his own world, and was seen gazing blankly out to sea, until Lauren started prodding his shoulder with her bare right foot to get his attention again.

It certainly seems as if her ’no carbs before Marbs’ diet is working, in which she pledged on the show to lose weight before her main summer holiday in the Spanish resort of Marbella later this summer.

Lauren told her Twitter followers that she got back last night and is due on Daybreak today.

Fiancé Mark meanwhile has got an appearance lined up on Loose Women a few hours afterwards.

However, they have both been insisting ever since that their relationship is for real as these happy holiday snaps will surely show.
