Nokia 7705 Twist mobile phone introduced

Nokia has unveiled its latest mobile phone, the Nokia 7705 Twist. Nokia 7705 Twist is a sqaure shaped handset which swivels open to show a full QWERTY keypad.



Nokia 7705 Twist has features such as 2.4-inch, 262K TFT QVGA screen, 3 megapixel camera, video capture and playback, HTML browser, 2.5 mm headset jack, built-in mirror, support for various mail clients.



There is a large ring on right side called the 'Contact Light Ring', which flashes different colors depending on who is contacting the user.



Nokia 7705 Twist has dimensions of 2.71" x 2.71" x 0.59"and usage time of up to 270 minutes or standby time of up to 312 hours.

Nokia 7705 Twist has been initially launched in the US at a price of $99.99 after $50.00 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement.

Nokia N900 mobile phone unveiled

Nokia has unveiled its new Nokia N900 mobile phone. The Nokia N900 runs on the open source, Linux based Maemo OS software and provides a PC-like experience on a mobile device.



The Nokia N900 has a ARM Cortex-A8 processor, 3.5 inch WVGA touch-sensitive display with 800 × 480 pixel resolution, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 5MP camera, dual LED flash with Carl Zeiss optics, up to 1GB application memory, 32GB of storage, expandable up to 48GB using a microSD card, OpenGL ES 2.0 graphics acceleration, fast internet connectivity with 10/2 HSPA and WLAN, Mozilla browser, Adobe Flash(TM) 9.4 support.



The Nokia N900 also has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS and navigation Integrated GPS, pre-loaded Ovi Maps application and automatic geotagging.



The Maemo software complements Nokia's other software platforms like Symbian, which runs Nokia's smartphones. The screen can be personalized by the user with favorite applications, shortcuts and widgets.



The Nokia N900 will be available in select markets from October 2009 for 500 Euros (around $712).

Nokia to launch its own netbook, the Nokia Booklet 3G

The world's largest mobile phone manufacturer Nokia is all set to enter the PC industry by launching its first netbook, the Nokia Booklet 3G.



The netbook segment was pioneered by Asus which launched the Eee PC in 2007 and all other PC manufacturers had come up with their own versions of the netbook.



The Nokia Booklet 3G will be based on Intel Atom processor and Microsoft Windows operating system with expected battery life of 12 hours and a weight of 1.25 kg.

No details of the price is available as yet, but the Nokia Booklet 3G is expected to be priced at $799, as per some websites.

Nokia 6700, 6303 mobile phones launched by Priyanka Chopra

Nokia 6700 Classic has features such as a 5 megapixel camera, assisted GPS navigation with Nokia Maps, FM radio, MP3 player, high speed data access and is available in Chrome and Black colors at a price of Rs. 14,000.























Nokia 6303 Classic hass a 2.2 inches large screen, a 3.2 megapixel camera, 8x digital zoom with autofocus and Nokia Maps. It is available in Steel and matt black colors at a price of Rs. 8000.

Nokia 3606 Cricket mobile phone launched

Cricket Communications has launched the Nokia 3606 Cricket mobile phone.



The Nokia 3606 is a flip phone and has a 128 x 128 x 262k TFT external display and 176 x 220 x 262k color TFT internal display.

The Nokia 3606 also has features such as 3G, 1.3 megapixel camera with LED flash, 8GB MicroSD card slot, an in built music player, FM radio, Bluetooth stereo connectivity, music keys, 3.5 hours of talk time, 10 days of standby time. The Nokia 3606 measures 90 x 47.5 x 15.3mm.

The Nokia 3606 is available from Cricket retail stores and dealers at a price of $179.99.
