David Beckham takes Gordon Ramsay spend most of the match comparing their Rolexes

Since moving to California three years ago, David Beckham has become an avid fan of local basketball team the Los Angeles Lakers.

But as he introduced fellow Brit Gordon Ramsay to the game at the Staples Center yesterday, it looked like the pair were more interested in comparing their expensive watches than watching the action on the court.

Seated in their $2,200 seats in the front row, the pair took off their flash timepieces to compare whose was the most impressive.

The England footballer, 34, has an extensive collection of expensive watches, which includes a £5,500 Rolex Sea Dweller and an Audumers Piquet Offshore T3.

Beckham, whose left leg is in a cast as he recovers from his ruptured Achilles tendon, also took care not to be photographed ogling the cheerleaders as they performed in front of him.

With Ramsay, 43, spending increasing amounts of time Stateside due to his American version of Kitchen Nightmares, Beckham has been helping the celebrity chef to embrace the U.S. culture.

But it seemed the two men appeared a tad distracted from the game as they caught up courtside yesterday.

Ahead of the game, Beckham greeted Lakers star player Kobe Bryant - who is also injured with a swollen knee - and teammate Sasha Vujacic.

Also at the game in the coveted front row sears were singer/songwriter Neil Diamond and Oscar winner Adrien Brody.

Unfortunately for the Lakers, they were beaten 91-88 by the Portland Trailer Blazers.

Beckham’s distractions during the game may upset some die-hard Lakers fans, who can’t afford the pricey front row seats.

Basketball fans last year criticised some of the celebrity attendees for not paying attention to the game and treating it as a paparazzi opportunity.

The Los Angeles Times’s interviewed Lakers season ticket holders, who complained celebrities were driving up the price of tickets.

David Beckham averts his eyes from the scantily-clad cheerleaders at basketball game

Since moving to Hollywood two years ago, David Beckham has become a regular courtside at Los Angeles Lakers games.

After the England footballer was caught on camera ogling cheerleaders from the front row, his wife Victoria could have been forgiven for wondering if his interest in basketball was genuine.

But as he took his place in his $2,200 seat in the Staples Center last night, Becks made sure he kept his focus on the game and away from the perky cheerleaders.

Although often joined by his three children Brooklyn, Cruz and Romeo, it was strictly a boys’ night out as the 34-year-old joined a few male pans in the coveted seats.

As the groups of dancers performed in between the game’s quarters, Beckham was seen averting his eyes away from them as they shook their pom-poms and performed their gymnastic routines.

Posh has been spotted at a Lakers game once before, soon after her husband was photographed checking out the cheerleaders, but appeared bored by the sport.

Beckham was just one of a host of stars attending Tuesday night’s match between the Lakers and the Los Angeles Klippers.

In attendance was season ticket holder Jack Nicholson, a regular since the Sixties, and new Lakers WAG Khloe Kardashian, who brought her elder sister Kim.

Khloe, 25, married Lakers forward Lamar Odom in September after just a month of dating.

The proud socialite watched as Odom was presented his NBA (National Basketball Association) championship ring.

Oscar winner Charlize Theron and actor boyfriend Stuart Townsend were spotted cuddling up in front row.

Also holding prime seats in the arena was Sacha Baron Cohen, Nicky Hilton, Stephen Dorff and Heather Locklear.

Victoria Beckham keeps a close eye on David Becham as he tries not to ogle basketball cheerleaders again

It looks as though Victoria Beckham has had enough of husband David’s court-side ogling of the cheerleaders at LA Lakers basketball games.

The LA Galaxy player has been spending a good amount of his free time at the Staples Centre in LA, and has been snapped a few times with his eyes on round bouncy things- and we’re not talking the basketballs.

The front row seats which are just a few feet from the court are hot tickets for celebrities and basket ball fans alike and now Victoria,34 knows why.

So this time around- despite her obvious disinterest in the game- the former Spice Girl wasn’t taking any chances and decided to join David at the match to keep her husbands gaze away from the scantily clad cheerleaders.

But the hot-pant wearing, mid rift showing cheerleaders strutted their stuff in front of the Beckhams as they entertained the crowd.

And as hard as David, 33 tried to keep his gaze firmly fixed on the match his eyes wandered a few times to the disapproval of Victoria who gave him a few menacing looks.

Posh -who is know for her glum looks- couldn’t hide her annoyance at the line women with their meagre attire who seemed set on standing in front of her husband to perform their dance routine.

And although she kept David in check on several occasions even she couldn’t help taking glimpse at the well toned cheerleaders.

In one instance it almost looked like Posh wanted her Spice days back as she admired the tanned body of one of blonde dancers.

David even tried to shut his eyes a few times in an attempt to block out the sexy ladies dancing just a few feet from where he was sitting.

Luckily for Victoria, David only had eyes for her and even gave his wife a few reassuring pats on the back.

It was probably not the most suitable attire for an evening out at the basketball.

But Megan Fox made sure all eyes were on her as she attended an LA Lakers game in her tiny T-shirt.

The actress arrived at the game at the Staples Centre with husband Brian Austin Green, wearing skinny blue jeans and the cropped top with the Lakers logo blazing out from the front.

But while Fox, 24, and Green, 37, might have been looking forward to the playoff match against the New Orleans Hornets, someone else looked like he was a little bored.

And it made us wonder what his court side companion could have been going on about to make David Beckham look so disinterested.

The footballer was snapped at the game sitting next to Entourage star Jeremy Piven.

But as Piven, 45, chatted away to Beckham, pointing out moments in the game, the footballer’s gaze was seen to wander.

He sat with his arms crossed and stared off into space as Piven gabbed away in his ear.

At one point he leaned forward to show his actor friend some courtesy but still stared forward as though he wasn’t really concentrating that much.

Looking casually sexy in jeans, a grey T-shirt and his hair slicked back, David also managed to unconsciously throw a couple of smoldering looks towards the cameras.

It was certainly nice to see David back in his usual attire again after he was last seen in a bunny outfit over the Easter weekend.

David donned the big white bunny suit to hide some golden eggs in the garden at the family’s Los Angeles home for the the three boys - Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and Cruz, six - to find.

And his wife Victoria, 37, couldn’t resist snapping a picture of the footballer and uploading them online to share with their fans.

Also attending the game yesterday, which saw the Lakers beat New Orleans by 106 to 90, was director Steven Spielberg and actor Andy Garcia.

The Laker Girls are an all-female National Basketball Association Cheerleading squad that performs and supports the Los Angeles Lakers Basketball team in home matches. They also perform at many other events and venues. The Laker Girls hold auditions at the Staples Center for new recruits on the third Saturday of July of every year. Each girl auditioning needs to be 104-130 lbs. (135 lbs. is considered if the audition goes very well) and must come with a resume of their previous jobs and gigs. It is required that each girl auditioning comes prepared with her own routine and is taught two routines that each girl must perform for the current Laker Girls as well as some judges.
