She said: 'I’ve told the producer that I have got my big wooden spoon polished and ready to go. I’m more than happy to do a bit of stirring. 'It’s a small world in Essex. Everyone knows each other and their business, so there’s bound to be tension at some point.'

The 24-year-old glamour model's promise to stir things up in the new series will no doubt please the makers of The Only Way Is Essex who decided to feature Maria more prominently in the second series, which starts tonight at 10pm on ITV2. Currently-single Maria claimed her friendships with all of the stars of the reality show puts her in the perfect position to cause trouble.
She added: 'I don't have an issue with anyone. It's me out of everyone who kind of flits between the group. So I hear all the gossip and I'm not bothered about passing it on. 'It's great to be a proper cast member this time around. I loved being a part of it last time, but now I'm really in the thick of it.'
